Temple Run 2 Review

Temple Run 2 has been a popular ADV game for a long time, which you can find on 9game easily.

Background.
You know the game by now. You may have played the prequel on iOS, Android or Windows Phone previously. Or played the sequel much sooner on iOS and Android. But here, at last, we get the Windows Phone 8 version with...what's that?...Xbox Live achievements?
"Gentlemen, you had my curiosity. But now you have my attention"
Gameplay.
Pretty much untouched from last time round, with a few additional scenes to mix things up, you swipe up, down, left and right in a bid to avoid obstacles and collect those precious tokens so that you can upgrade your characters to be Indiana Jones on steroids.
The further the distance you go, the faster the game gets and the more you realise you have lost the reaction time of your younger self. It gets frantic, addictive and you just want to push yourself to get further every round. Beating your own scores, or of those people on your Xbox Live friends list, you know, the ones you have no idea who they are or how they got there.
Presentation.
Looking like an overclocked PS2, the graphics are functional and can be quite nice. I ran this on a Samsung Galaxy and pushed the graphics to max within the options screen, which just seemed to increase the textures, with no noticeable slowdown. And for once, I did not get my hands chargrilled by the temperature of the back of the phone.

Achievements.
Admit it, you didn't read the rest. Of course, this is why some of us will play this and I am pleased to report that this free title does not rely on your patience, or micro-transaction pennies to complete. All achievements are hidden BUT they are only the missions(?) required to level up your character. By level 8, you should be inline to complete this game and providing you are good at running and dodging, you are looking at approx 4hrs to complete. Maybe less, maybe more, all depends on how those eyes are holding up after hours of watching you zipline a mans crouch into a path of yellow tokens.
Final Thought.
Temple Run 2 is a brilliant example of how Xbox Live phone games should be made. Instantly accessible, good looking, excellent gameplay and achievements challenging enough to not make you tire of playing.

Besides Temple Run 2, you can find other ADV games on 9game.
