Hike Messenger, the popular social app has announced the official launch of hike 4.0, claiming it to be ‘the biggest update in the history of the company’. The latest release of hike 4.0 is available for Android users and iOS users. In addition, the new update has been optimised for low-end phones and particularly for areas with extremely poor network conditions.
Hike Messenger also announced that it’s users now exchange a mammoth 20 billion messages on a monthly basis. The number has doubled in less than a year since the company’s previous announcement of 10 billion monthly messaging volume in August last year.
Mentioning the features, the new app brings in a new design along with seven new chat themes. The new update also introduces ‘Sticker Suggestions’, that recommends sticekers from a diverse catalogue of over 5000 stickers on hike. The company also allows up to 500 members in a single Group Chat and has introduced the ability to have multiple admins in a Group Chat to manage groups with many people.
As a part of the new update, Hike has also launched ‘News’ on hike, a service that allows users on the platform to get news updates in just under a 100 characters. The company claims that, within 24 hours of the launch of ‘News’, hike already had over a million people actively using the service on a daily basis.
Also, Hike has introduced the ability to transfer any kind of file, such as documents, PDF, Zip and all other kinds of files up to a 100MB. Additionally, Hike has also launched photo filters and doodles too.
